Supreme Court Ruling: Parents Can Sue on Behalf of Their Children

I am so happy about this Supreme Court ruling that I am weepy.

The only thing that would make me happier would be if parents didn't have to sue to secure a free and appropriate public education for their children on the spectrum.

Congratulations to the Winkelmans for their victory, and for their courage.

Here in Victoria, Australia we have autism specific schools and judging by what I read, there is a lot to be said for them. Most parents I know have nothing but praise for them. With tiny class sizes, one teacher & teacher aide to five students, the kids seem to make amazing progress. Not to mention the sense of relief for the parents that their child or children are in a place where they don't have to explain or defend their behaviours.
