These camps, however, have all the elements an Aspergers kid needs, too -- close supervision, structured activities, schedule, etc. The staff are all trained and know disabilities in general, which leaves them open to adapting to autism as well.Daisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11647906900944224234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19421951.post-1153850952093855082006-07-25T14:09:00.000-04:002006-07-25T14:09:00.000-04:00Hi there. I wish I'd seen Susan's Washington Post article sooner!

And who knows, perhaps someday I will write about that other sort of camp, though it seems that Sontag had it well covered!MothersVoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02479178355207142195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19421951.post-1153581707761048192006-07-22T11:21:00.000-04:002006-07-22T11:21:00.000-04:00Megan went to day camp for a week. It was one of the few activities we've ever had her in where there was no crying and absolutely no complaints. She swam, hiked, canoed, and rode horses. They had a daily schedule discussed at the beginning of each day to KathyIggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11699911427332930599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19421951.post-1153578739851894052006-07-22T10:32:00.000-04:002006-07-22T10:32:00.000-04:00Very happy to read an update on Sweet M. Someday, there will be better choices for our children with autism, but those wheels grind slowly don't they?Tarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02824248962807980412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19421951.post-1153571132180645392006-07-22T08:25:00.000-04:002006-07-22T08:25:00.000-04:00Bravo!
